The Roast

The seed of the coffee cherry goes through a lot of stress when caffeine is extracted from the bean, so we take extra care in roasting our decaf to enhance the flavor as much as possible. This is a balanced blend with chocolate and caramel flavors, a touch of natural fruit, and just the right amount of acidity for a smooth finish. It’s always the first batch we roast so the heat in the drum isn’t excessive, resulting in a dark, robust roast with enough depth that you’ll be surprised it’s decaf. Seriously, people argue with us that it’s not decaf.
