About

Welcome to Caffè Santoro’s online shop for roasted whole bean coffee!

Translated from Italian caffè Santoro means “coffee the Santoro way,” and ever since 2008, when we opened our first coffee shop location in Cameron Park, California, that has meant a lot more than just great coffee. It means your coffee is served—er roasted—with personality: a dose of laughter and authentic hospitality.

Our Coffee

We love coffee! Not just the taste, but the camaraderie and community that happens when we sit down over a cuppa with a good friend. It’s why we opened our coffee shop, and it’s why we now roast our own beans—so that you can create that experience right in your own home.

Our beans are sourced from the best coffee growing regions in the world, and hand roasted by Ken and Linda Santoro in our Northern California roasting facility. When you order from us, you’re getting the freshest roast possible: the beans are roasted weekly, and shipped to you within 5-7 business days.

Check out our roasts for personal recommendations from our family to help you decide your own favorite.

Our Story

Ken Santoro (right) with his dad, Salvatore Santoro (left).

Ken Santoro, our Chief Personality Officer, has been in business for himself for nearly his entire life, and he comes from a long line of entrepreneurs. His grandfather, Salvatore Santoro, immigrated from the Old World in 1901 and ran his own restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, where Ken was born. Ken’s dad, Salvatore Santoro Jr. ran his own business, S&S Printing, where Ken worked and was trained in the trade after his service in the U.S. Air Force. (Ken and his dad, Sal, pictured at left.)

Linda & Ken Santoro

Fast forward to starting his own family with wife Linda and first born daughter Janna, the Santoros moved from New Jersey to California in 1981 where it wasn’t long before Ken and Linda started S&S West Printing with a single printing press set up in the garage of their rental home.

Since those early days more than forty years ago, Ken and Linda have owned and operated a variety of their own businesses (including gum ball vending machines, which is another story for another day), but through it all they have always dreamt of owning a coffee shop—a place where they could welcome strangers, turn them into friends, and make them feel at home. (Linda & Ken pictured at left.)

Ken and Linda ended up with four kids who all remember the days of a logo hanging on their refrigerator that Ken had designed in Microsoft Paint for Santoro’s Coffee Shop. And since opening Caffè Santoro, all of their kids have been involved in one way or another.

When you buy our coffee, not only are you supporting a small business, but you’re also supporting the family behind it—and you become a part of our family.

Benvenuti al Caffè Santoro!
